I was gifted an amazon gift card worth of 6000 an year ago for a celebration. And I redeemed it after a couple of month later. And regularly using this balance to buy items in amazon. As I was not a regular buyer of amazon, the balance is not completed yet.
Some days before causally I checked my amazon pay balance it was very less that it was before ,as I used it to buy a gadget a week before. I got confused because the ordered item is not so costlier to vanish my amazon pay balance. Then only I checked the payment history, and got shocked because the money is expired.
Called the amazon team and spoken about the expired money. and they told that they will review and let me know in 5 days. I really don't know about the concept of money get expired with in a year. Are we cheated by amazon?
The gift card validity is calculated from the day of the purchase and not the redemption date. And they will not given any intimation about the expiry date by any medium. Does it means they are intentionally try to play with peoples money in the name of gift card.
So guys ,please aware of this .your money too be expired
